Meet our Employees Designing and Quoting Walk-In Coolers

It takes the entirety of our team to achieve the level of quality and excellence we demand of ourselves, and each individual employee brings a unique and invaluable perspective to that team.

Below, you’ll hear from account manager Beth Wade and design supervisor for our South Central and West regions Joey Joiner about how they view their roles at KPSG.

Who are Beth and Joey, and how do they collaborate?

As an account manager, Beth talks directly to our customers to see how KPSG can fulfill their needs. From there, she works with any and all of our departments, from design and install to engineering, production and outside sales, to find the best way to achieve the customer’s vision.

As a design supervisor, Joey manages a team of eight designers that take those customer needs and begin the process of turning them into reality, converting rough sketches, hand-written notes and quotations into actionable shop drawings that our shops can act on.

“I get to work with talented designers who share the same passion for drawing that I’ve had since I was a kid,” he said.

Both employees are critical translators of information, helping us move our customers’ initial visions down the line toward a high-quality finished product.

What makes working at KPS meaningful?

For Beth, fulfillment comes from her ability to interface with all kinds of people and face a new challenge every day.

“I love my job, because I get the opportunity to talk to several different people every day,” she said. “I get to try and solve problems and create new ways to help people. I also love that, every day, I have the opportunity to learn something new. There is a very strong ‘family’ feel, which is wonderful.”

As for Joey, his work in design allows him to work with a tight-knit group while fulfilling a childhood dream. “I also love it because I get to work with a team who all support each other and have each other’s backs,” he said.
